norbert neumeister – a brief summary:

I’m currently working as Experience Architect for Different in Sydney, prior to this I was working as Senior Interaction Designer in the area of e-Learning. Furthermore I have worked as web user experience designer for the University of Newcastle and as design consultant for TACTICS consulting in Sydney.

A holiday in 2003 turned into an extended stopover and finally migration to live and work in Australia permanently. Prior to this I was living in Köln, Germany where I worked for the previous eight years in different design environments, during which time I also completed my Diploma at the KISD, Cologne (Köln) International School of Design.

I’m a Designer experienced in Interface- Interaction and User Experience Design.

In 2004 I worked as User Experience Designer for Vodafone Global in Germany and as Graphic Designer for The University of Newcastle. From December 1999 to April 2003 I was employed as Interaction Designer at cutup GmbH, a Bertelsmann Media Company. Prior to this I combined study with freelance work for advertising agencies and media companies and gained experience in different internships.

education

Trained and educated in Germany I graduated from the > KISD, Cologne (Köln) International School of Design (former > University of Applied Science Cologne – Department of Design ) with the Diplom Designer (FH) degree. The Cologne (Köln) International School of Design provides an interdisciplinary Diploma/education in Design, focusing on Design as a holistic process, and mastering different approaches towards the successful completion of the project/product.

My final Degree Project (main topic): > Personalised Library Information Environment (Interface/Hypermedia; Prof. Gui Bonsiepe). Conceptual and research work on the use of adaptive methods in information systems – design of information architecture, interaction design and interface schematics.
